Frictionless Brains Reproduction - a simple agent-based model evolving an object-interception task, directed by a continuous-time recurrent neural network (CTRNN). In the experiment outlined, the agent displays Braitenberg-like behavior, but more interesting behaviors have been evolved with similar systems by others. Contains code and a short paper. Spring'07.
Foreign Word Classification: A Statistical Model - A naive Bayesian classifier used to identify the language to which a sample belongs, and its theoretical motivation. With the Python code used in the experiment, an OpenOffice slide show about the work, and the final paper for the class. Fall '06.
